“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
As far as children books go, there is no doubt that the Dr. Seuss collection is by far one of the most popular ones. Even as an adult, the writings of Theodor Seuss Geisel and the characters he created are still truly inspirational. That is why, every March, many around the country celebrate the birthday of this American writer. The City of Doral joins in this celebration, as it has done for many years, with a fun family event, especially for the little ones.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet in person some of the most famous characters of Dr. Seuss’ books this Saturday, March 4 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM in Downtown Doral Charter Elementary. ¡It’s free!

WPLG News released a video recorded by a concerned parent in Doral who took his children to the “EGGstravaganza” Egg Hunt event held this past weekend at Doral Central Park. In the video one can see crews spraying ant killer in the field right before kids and their families arrived to the festival.

City of Doral parks and recreation officials said the city was only spot spraying for fire ants in the area to protect the community but will make an effort to clearly mark areas during future events.
